KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SOUTHERN COMMAND PUNE
Introduction
The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) is a flagship initiative of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in schools. Our school is proud to have an ATL, which was established in 2021 with the aim of providing students with a platform to develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Objectives
The objectives of the ATL in our school are:
To provide a platform for students to develop their skills in STEM
To foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship
To encourage students to think creatively and develop problem-solving skills
To provide opportunities for students to work on projects that address real-world problems
Activities and Achievements
During the academic year 2023-24, the ATL in our school has been actively involved in various activities and projects. Some of the notable achievements in Robotics and Automation: Students worked on designing and developing humanoid robot. They also developed a working drone using the material available in the lab.
Our School organised E waste management workshop for children of classes 5th to 8th in session 2022-23.
Organised ATL introductory workshop for classes 6th to 8th in session 2023-24.
Objectives and Future Plans
Our objectives for the next academic year include
Increasing Enrollment: We aim to engage all students (Classes 6 to 12) of school in the ATL in current session.
Improving Participation: We aim to improve the participation of our students in various activities and projects.
Conclusion
The ATL in our school has been a hub of innovation and creativity, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills in STEM. We are proud of the achievements of our students and look forward to continuing to provide them with a platform to innovate and create.
